Fall 2020 Virtual Offerings

The operations and services of the Fraternity & Sorority Life office continue in the Fall 2020 quarter. We want to hear from you, your challenges, and your successes. We are shifting our plans to support you virtually this quarter, and we are working to make sure all of our collective plans for summer and fall stay on track. 

Fraternity and sorority members will have access to the following:

    Chapter/Council Advising

    • Bi-weekly president newsletter with updates/check-ins
    • Zoom meetings with chapter presidents and/or chapter leadership officers
    • Chapter conduct and sanction support from the Fraternity and Sorority Life Staff, this includes virtual learnings and workshops
    • Weekly IFC, PHA and USFC council advising support 
    • Virtual office hours offered with access to Professional Staff Weekly
    • Scheduled round table bi-meetings via zoom for chapter presidents 
    • Scheduled council meetings for executive officers on IFC, PHA and USFC with chapter delegates 

    Educational Opportunities

    • FSL Officer Institute offered virtually 
    • Online learning webinar in collaboration with Safer on gender and power-based violence
    • Online learning access to the Social Risk Management Training workshop/quiz
    • The Cycle Review Program will be facilitated virtually 
    • Anti-Racist learning webinar for the entire FSL community
    • Disability Ally learning webinar in collaboration with the Disability Resource Center
    • Intergroup Dialogue in collaboration with Student Diversity and Belonging offered to FSL members 
    • Support with online communication platforms as needed

    Community Engagement 

    • Recruitment support and virtual processes to welcome new members into the community 
    • Community monthly newsletter with updates from the office/council/chapters 
    • Monthly Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Newsletter 
    • Standards of Excellence program hosted through Canvas
    • United Sorority and Fraternity Council (USFC) twisters virtually facilitated by Professional Staff
    • Instagram Spotlights
    • Virutal movie nights for FSL community members
    • Instagram live scheduled access for incoming students to ask questions about joining the Fraternity and Sorority Community
    • An all fraternity and sorority virtual philanthropy to raise money for medical supplies with participation from chapters and members who want to be involved
    • Virtual Philanthropy event planning support for chapters hosting events
